Small outfit compilation 2: Last days of November! + Circle lens advise!

Hey there!

I've chosen to stay a week without wearing circle lenses because my left eye decided to... well, to take a bloody rebellion on its own!
I was thinking about making a post advising you to be careful with wearing circle lenses for too long (I usually wear them all day, which is MIN 13h most days because I have 6h of class and 6h of work, and that's if I don't do anything after work... which usually means wearing the lenses for WAY too long!)
I should do like most of my friends do, take them out when my eyes start feeling sore or when it's been more than 7-8 hours! It's just that I like the look they give too much and I don't want to take them out and go back to my small irises, lol! But health goes first, so after this small circle lens hiatus I'll try to be more sensible about their use.

Here's the proof of how my eyes looked after 10h of use (it was like 7 pm... and that day I went out for dinner, so imagine how they were at 1am!!):

I usually don't make this kind of poses hahaha
But I was very stressed that day at work so I needed to get out of the office and do something childish and stupid to forget for a couple minutes about the pressure lol!

And now onto the outfits! I just picked up 3 and they're from this weekend, yesterday and today, LOL! Last week the cold hit me too hard and caught me by surprise, so I didn't have anything to wear except boring (yet -sort of- warm) stuff or outfits that you've already seen so... They're not worth the time!

I've found though that I find myself more comfortable wearing a different style in winter, maybe more on the cute key than on the sexy, aggressive side! It's easier to be warm with huge sweaters than in micro d.i.a tops, lol!

(I'll find something else though, I usually switch styles a lot and don't like sticking to just one thing!)

Saturday:
Sweater: Bershka
Shirt: Bershka
Shorts: Bershka (omg, I hadn't noticed this LOL)
Knee-highs: Calcedonia
Boots: Camper
Accessories: Handmade (by Miyu's BF lol!) and Forever21

Monday:
Sweater: H&M!
Shirt: Blanco
Skirt: ??
Knee-highs: Calcedonia
Accessories:  Necklace ??, beret H&M

Today!
Sweater: Friday's proyect
Shirt: Bershka
Skirt: NewYorker (even if you can't see it xD)
Knee-highs: Calcedonia
Accessories: Forever21

I don't like the way this outfit ended up looking like! I need a white cute t-shirt and a black bowtie and maybe white knee-high socks because it if everything looks so dark it looses a bit of the cute key I was aiming for!
Dull make up because I got ready in 10' and I'm not wearing circle lenses!

I was unsure about what to post because there are a few things that I'd like to talk about but I don't have enough time to develop them! (and I ended up making a somewhat long outfit post, d'oh).
Some are silly, like listing some new make-up wise  and random stuff I'd like to buy and why, others are a bit more serious (at least for me) like ways to deal with acne scars (or even my own fight with acne) or maybe stuff that might be helpful like my experience with TaoBao or MBok and/or how to order in these kind of places using different shopping services (as if there weren't enough tutorials lol!)

(As it's obvious, I'll leave the make-up tutorial for the time when I start wear lenses again, haha!)

If you'd like to know any of these in depth please let me know! I'm always happy to receive feedback!

And as always, thanks for reading! ^^

Bang bangs!

(Some of you might already know about this from my FB/twitter)
So yesterday I was pretty stressed about the way my bangs looked and I kept thinking that I needed a change so I took the scissors and bam! I cut my bangs. Just like that!
I've got no knowledge whatsoever about hairdressing so it's a miracle that it doesn't look like a complete disaster but heck! you've got to do what you want, or to try it at least!
Otherwise I'd just keep complaining about how much I needed a change and that I didn't know what to do and so on and so on, so I thought that the best way to do something was to actually do it.
You know how it goes:

Do or do not, there is no try.
-Yoda.

So... This is how my bangs looked before my impulsive scissor attack:

And this is how they look after it!
Y así es cómo ha quedado!

Also, an extra selca (aka camwhoring) shot for all of you, with pouty lips and everything:

As you might see, I had my SLR in my hand there. Well, the thing is that no matter how much I try, I don't like the way I look in pretty much ANY pic I take with that cam if the lights aren't like uber fantastic (or sunlight), and since usually that only happens in the bathroom... I won't post any good quality pic for now.

Well, what do you think about the change?!

Bueno, qué pensáis del cambio?!

BY THE WAY!
I was also trying to record a sort of tutorial for the eye make-up I'm wearing in these pics, which is based in Yun's style in one of the pages of this A/W Egg Beauty! I was thinking about doing a series of inspired styles from the magazine so I can start posting more make-up content!

Sadly, my cam stopped recording halfway and I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't have the time to remove everything  and start again, so I chose to let it go. But, do you like the idea? Would you like to see a "tutorial" (I don't like the word tutorial) on this style and the idea of my inspired series?

Let me know and thanks for reading!

Hair boredom

Hey !

I'm writing this entry because I want to do something with my hair but I'm unsure about WHAT should I do.
I know that I want darker hair and I've got a few ideas but I'm a bit afraid of changing because I might miss my current blonde (even if I think that I've gone too far with going to a lighter shade each time, lol).

It's just that I need a change. I'm bored of always looking the same way, and I also feel like I should reach a shade of blonde that didn't demand me to previously bleach my roots, or my hair will never grow again (and I really don't like the way short/medium hair -well, my current length- suits me).

Lately I've been in love with Mipoti's hair:  medium blonde base, lighter/darker streaks all around. Maybe I should just do some darker cap highlights and see if I like it, but Idk. I'll probably get some ring extensions too.

Let me show you some (more) inspirational pics of Mipo's hair!

Well, I have to admit that I have a huge crush on her, but that's something totally different....

Excuses + PicSpam

Ahh, whenever I spend a long time without blogging I start feeling guilty!

Anyway, I've got quite a lot of ideas to give this blog a new face and some projects in mind to put some more life and interactivity to it, but I really have little to no time for things like this!
I barely have time to take pics and post them, no wonder that I've no time to blog!

So this is just a little reminder that I'm still here somehow and that stuff may be coming... soon. Just not SO soon.

And to make this post a lil less boring, I'll spam some pics of these last days!

Thanks for reading <3

(I'm aware that they're not my best pics, but hey! It's something, lol!)

Why all the hate?

Disclaimer: This post contains opinion!

I have been thinking a lot about this lately, and I thought it was a good subject to bring here.
The fact is that anyone that knows at least a little how this community goes will know that one of the most popular critics is "That's not gyaru!".
There are guides and guidelines in order to become a (good) gyaru. A whole set of rules and do's and dont's.But still, this isn't enough, because from there it borns the "Doing X isn't enough to be gyaru!" discussion. It's not my intention to enter into this topic, as it's been discussed broadly and while I have my opinion like anyone else (opinions are like balls) but it amazes me that this is in fact a subject of discussion.

I've been in different dressing styles (which belonged to different urban tribes, to call it somehow) and this was never a subject of discussion, so it makes me wonder why.

For instance, I highly doubt that if some guy starts getting interested in punk and listening to punk music and dresses alike to the musicians he listens to, I doubt he'll find anywhere a list of dont's.
Of course, _every_ urban tribe has its own rules (because doing something and not doing something else it's what caracterizes them), and you probably won't see a goth in pink (or maybe you could, but yanno) or a punk wearing Swarovski decoden (that one is harder to find, right? although there are some approaches, lol).
And, well, every urban tribe has its degree of trueness and competition, but it's not at high and heavy as it happens in gyaru (or j-fashion in general, I dare say).

But... Why does this happen?

One of the first posible reason that I can think of it's because it has no musical background (or not as deep as other subcultures have). It might sound stupid, but if you fail to give the looks, what do you have left?
The gyaru spirit? Sure.
We've all come to this discussion in one point or the other. You can be a rebel, you can go against society and the mass media and the rules and averageness and all that stuff without being gyaru, so that attitude might belong to anything else. This wouldn't be like this if there was a musical background.
Take goths. A teen might not be all dressed up in expensive victorian-ish velvet clothing, but she might listen to all those goth rock bands, and with just a t-shirt with the logo of the group, some jeans and heavy dark make-up there'd be no doubt of what urban tribe she belongs to (or at least her tendency).

Another reason that comes to my mind is that, under the surface, it's a highly competitive fashion. I'm the kind of person who finds it easy to like pretty much everyone and I really don't need much to grow fond of people and care about them (I'm a care bear, lol). I prefer sharing to competing but I know that there are a lot of people who like having adversaries. This is indeed a good way to push you to get better, but you might end up crossing the line of friendly competition to enter the realms of hate, and hate leads to suffering (and it's the path to the dark side).
(yes, this is what appears when you google Gyaru Secrets)

I also think that the fact that it's a japanese fashion is also somewhat of a barrier due to the racial (physical) differences. This might sound silly or wrong, but I really don't mean it in a bad way, but I came up to this conclusion a couple years ago when I made a first attempt at japanese fashion with visual kei. No matter how many make-up tutorials I tried to follow, my eye keept looking different. Then I realized that the crease in my eyelid was the reason of my failure.

I compare my pictures to japanese gyaru's and I fail to see the same. But that's obvious, because no matter how better my skills might get at make-up and hairstyling (at which, by the way, I suck) I will never see the same, since my features are different, for a start. Of course, there are awesome gaijin gyaru who grasp the essence of gyaru, who give you that feeling instantly at a first sight but...

And finally, I believe that part of it is created by itself. It's like the feed-back creates the fear, the fear of being criticized for not being gyaru enough makes people being more critic ("because... I'm going to be criticized by ... you? you don't even look that gyaru!") and so on, and so on.

What do you guys think about it?

Stupid Vlog

HELLO!

So yesterday I tried a slightly different style and I was pretty happy with it!
When I came home at last I was so sad to have to remove my makeup and undo my hair and such that decided that it'd be a great excuse to do a vlog, LOL!

Bad thing about it it's that... well, the audio is a bit out of sync and that my accent hasn't gotten any better but... Heck, I try my best lol.

Well,  I hope you enjoy my randomness!

(Herpy derpy thumbnail LOL)

Oh, I also thought it could be a good idea to post a couple pics of the outfit and such! :D

Oh, I also thought it could be a good idea to post a couple pics of the outfit and such! :D

Pic edited with Line Camera! (Pick's image editing soft)
I love that social network!

Also, the inevitable unavoidable embarrassing duckface, but I like the way the hairdo looks, lol.

 With my dear Miyu <3

And this pic was too fun to avoid posting it xDDDD We were in front of a fan, lol

Some of the girls, I love them all <3

Another group pic... With a lot of us lacking! It looks like it's an Hysterical tradition to lack good group pics! We did some, but I don't have them.
I love them all, they're great. It's such a wonderful thing to have friends like them. One of these days I'll make an update for them! <3

Aaaand... This is all for now.
Thanks for reading and so! <3

About makeup... kinda.

Hi everyone!

I've been thinking lately a lot about how I do my make up and what I wanted to look like.
Despite the fact that I've been a _lot_ of time with little to no money to restock my falsies and whatnot, I've also found out that I had gotten a bit... lazy when it comes to make-up.

I've always, always, always, always loved extreme panda styles, droopy eye make-up rather than natural and cat-shaped eyes, like this girl's (who's an Ageha model):

(I don't know her name but I'm totally in love with her. I suck at names, but... I love her anyway)

Just take a look at her makeup:

And at the way her face looks with it:

THIS is the kind of face-shape (or whatever) I want to achieve, this is in what I'm going to work more from now on.

I used to make my eyes very very very droopy before, but I ended up changing to a style... that doesn't even suit me!

So eh, keep tuned because I'm going to be trying really hard.
(I also wanted to talk about lenses and about how much I wanted to get me a new pair and that I had been investigated because I didn't want an old model that ended up feeling outdated quickly but as far as I can see... They keep wearing the same old oldies in mags like Ageha and EGG and such! I guess it's because the classics never die)

Thanks for reading and such! <3

Jill Stuart 'mix blush compact' Review

My second (make-up related) Christmas gift by my other half was this lovely blusher which I had been wanting for a really long time. I was really in love with its cuteness case and applicator and how the colors looked like!
Being a pink blush lover, I obviously asked for shade 01: Baby blush!

As you can see, the case and the brush are pretty and princess-y like the most. It's really beautiful and it stands out, BUT it gets dirty easily!
(See that fingerprint there? lol)

XD)

The brush is detachable and retractable. It smelled bad when I first got it out of the box but it had -and still has- an awesome touch (I'm not sure if it's synthetic or not though).

So this is what it looked like right out of the box:

After 11 days of (regular) use, this is what it looks like:

I'm NOT unhappy with it, even if its pigmentation level deceived me a bit. After a few days of using it I'm getting used to the way it looks and the right amount of blusher I've got to use and the colors/combinations that suit me better I'm starting to like it. I don't like how coral tones look on my skin, so I tend to use tones from 1 to 3 the most (and you can tell because the "flower" of the last one has kept its form way more!).

And here are some indoors lighted swatches!
I'd been delaying this for too long because I couldn't find a moment to take a pic of both at the same time, so I've decided to post it without the daylight swatch. It's in indoors light pics that blush tends to disappear, so it's not going to be such a bad indicative.
According to MAC, my skin tone is NC15.

My overall (humble and inexpert) opinion:

It's beautiful and practical, since it easy to carry around without having to have a full arsenal of stuff with you.

The colors are pretty and shiny, and while you'll need (I do, at least) quite a good amount of blush to make it noticeable it'll look nice when it does.

The brush feels a bit big to carefully select each shade, but when you're using it it actually works and doesn't mix the colors (too much). It gets a bit dirty though.

Price is a huge drawback. I'm not sure if I would have bought this myself, since I'm on a tight budget. Now I know about them, I probably would have gone for a NARS blush (I'm saying this and if I don't own one yet, so I might take it back in a future, but I doubt it).
